2007 and 2008. A Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology
and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, she has
also been listed as one of Orange County's Top Doctors in 2007

in the Orange Coast Magazine .
Dr. Cobos is committed to advancing the diagnosis and medical,
surgical and cosmetic treatment of the skin hair and nails;
advocating high standards in clinical practice, education and
research in dermatology, and supporting and enhancing patient

Dr. Cobos Accepts Preceptorship for Fraxel |
Dr. Cobos has accepted a preceptor position to
train colleagues in the use of the new Fraxel Re:pair CO2 Laser.
As
one of the first dermatologists in California to begin using the new
tightening/resurfacing laser, she has some of the most extensive
experience available. Dr. Cobos will assist with Fraxel Re:pair
training across the US and internationally.

Our Transform-a-Life Patient - Jeremy |
"I’ve had a big birthmark on my face as long as I
can remember. Other kids have sometimes made fun of me and it
made me feel shy. Dr. Cobos has been giving me laser treatments
to help the birthmark go away. It’s a lot lighter than it used
to be and I am feeling better about myself. Dr. Cobos says
“Don’t worry, Jeremy, we’re going to make you look really good.”
That makes me happy because I’m hoping it will go away
completely.
Dr. Cobos is always super nice to me. I was scared the first
time I came so she explained how everything would feel and made
sure I knew what was happening. Now when I come for the laser
treatment I’m not worried about anything.
My mom says Dr. Cobos is one of the smartest
skin doctors there is. She teaches me how to take care of my
skin and tells me I have to be extra careful after the laser
treatments to stay out of the sun. I don’t like to wear sun
lotion but she says that’s important. So I do, even when I don’t
want to. I’m really lucky that I was picked as a
Transform-a-Life patient and to know Dr. Cobos. I used to always
worry that I would have a big birthmark, but now I know I won’t."

Jeremy's treatment for his café au
lait birthmark to date
has been
Gentlemax Laser and Vbeam laser to shrink the vessels feeding
the birthmark and to begin removing the brown pigment. Sunblock is a crucial
element in maintaining improvement. This is a tough requirement for a busy kid,
but Jeremy's doing a good job of following the rules. We'll update again with
Jeremy's continued improvement.
